Song Joong ki (Yoo Shi-jin) captured fans’ hearts with a successful plan to rescue Song Hye-kyo (Kang Mo-yeon) in “Descendants of the Sun”.

In episode 12, Yoo Shi-jin infiltrated David’s (David is a former colleague of Shi-jin, but he has turned into a gangster) hiding place in order to save kidnapped Kang Mo-yeon.

During the rescue, Shi-jin faced Mo-yeon, who was wearing a suicide vest that David forced her to wear. 

​

​When a member of his staff informed Shi-jin that the vest’s detonator was located on Mo-yeon’s shoulder, Shi-jin took aim and fired a shot.

​

Then, Shi-jin protected Mo-yeon by covering her eyes when he shot and killed David.

​

Moreover, he showed how macho he was by taking a bullet intended for Mo-yeong fired by wounded David.

​

As a result, Shi-jin succeeded in his plan to rescue Mo-yeon without any of his junior staff members being killed.

At the last scene of episode 12, Kang Mo-yeon’s medical volunteer team was back in Korea. We can expect that Song-Song couple will meet again.

Meanwhile, “Descendants of the Sun” has only 4 episodes left. Episode 13 will broadcast on April 6 10:00 p.m. KST!
