Kang Ha Neul sweeps fans off their feet with his princely charms in Singapore > TV-MOVIES

A typical Saturday evening turned into a romantic date as actor Kang Ha Neul returned to Singapore for a second time to meet his fans on 27 August. Organized by ONE, the public meet-and-greet event was held at Waterway Point and drew a massive crowd of over 3,000! Some avid fans arrived as early as 7am to grab a good spot and had no qualms about waiting over 11 hours just to meet the actor. 

Kang Ha Neul was in town to promote his latest drama, 'Scarlet Heart' (보보경심: 려​)​ - an adaptation of popular romance period drama 'Bu Bu Jing Xin' - and boasts a star-studded cast​. His visit marks a first where a Korean artiste embarks on promotional activities in Singapore even before the drama's airing. 

The actor, who plays the 8^th prince in Scarlet Heart, dismissed all barriers between royalty and commoner as he interacted closely with his fans and dished out endless amounts of fan-service. The hour-long meet-and-greet turned into a romantic and instantaneous date for 5 lucky fans who were picked to get up-close and personal with the heartthrob. One of the '8-seconds date' put him in a situation where he had to tie a young girl's hair. Evidently shy, Ha Neul confessed that it was a first time for him. He struggled a bit and successfully completed the 'mission' with his second try. With more confidence in the next 'date mission', Ha Neul went down on his knees and sang "Saranghae" repeatedly to a blushing fan, looking every bit like an ideal Prince Charming.

From taking selfies, to being serenaded and exchanging a loving gaze, it was indeed an unforgettable moment; one that drew squeals of jealousy from the crowd! The highlight of the skinship segment undoubtedly goes to the lucky fan girl who received a dramatic back hug (with a jacket wrapped over) and an additional front hug! Despite his shy demeanor, Kang Ha Neul was game enough to fulfill all the requests. ​

Picking up on the local colloquial English (Singlish), Ha Neul learnt the term 'sayang' (love) and used it to refer to his dedicated fans. The 26-year-old's sincerity and down-to-earth nature certainly charmed the audience and had them screaming love confessions. During the autograph session for instance, the actor was seen standing up to greet each fan before sitting down again to sign the 'Scarlet Heart' poster. Little gestures like that reveals the rising star's endearing and considerate personality, for which we applaud!
