53rd Baeksang Arts Awards winners > TV-MOVIES

The Baeksang Arts Awards were held in Seoul on May 3^rd. It is an award ceremony celebrating Korean television, film, and theater and they are further known as "Korea’s Golden Globe Awards."

This year there were many nominations in the TV and film category as it was a hit year where many excellent TV dramas and films were produced, as a result, the competition was fierce.  

This year’s award winners were:

Best Variety Program: My Ugly Duckling (SBS)

Best Director: Yoo In Shik (SBS' Romantic Doctor Kim)

Best Actor: Gong Yoo (tvN Goblin)

Best Actress: Seo Hyun Jin (tvN - Oh Hae Young Again)

Best New Actor: Kim Min Seok (SBS - Doctors)

Best New Actress: Lee Se Young (KBS - Laurel Tree Tailors) 

Variety Award (Male): Yang Se Hyung (SBS - Mobidic)

Variety Award (Female): Park Na Rae (MBC - I Live Alone)

Best Script: Noh Hee Kyung's Dear My Friends (tvN)

Best Director: Kim Ji Woon (The Age of Shadows)
