Hyeri who played the female lead in tvN’s “Reply 1988,” and Kang Min-hyuk who performed a supporting role in SBS’s “The Heirs” are now also part of SBS’s new soap opera “Entertainer,” which ran its first episode on April 20.
In episode 1, their roles as Grin (Hyeri) who has a strong sense of responsibility for her siblings and her brother, Ha-neul(Kang Min-hyuk) who wants to play music in a band were revealed.
Because it was the first episode, mainly the introduction of the characters in the soap opera and the beginnings of storyline were outlined.
Most of the plot concerned the story of the male lead, Shin Seok-ho(Ji-Sung) who was a successful manager in a popular talent agency.
However, when he told his boss he wanted to resign in order to establish his own entertainment agency with a popular boy group belonging to the agency, his boss planned a trick to completely ruin Seok-ho. Seok-ho had a car accident while having a phone call, and the boss bribed the victim to put Seok-ho in a prison.
At the same time, Ha-neul was also falsely accused of sexual harassment by his friend. To prove his innocence, his sister, Grin tried to persuade the judges by showing Ha-neul’s student records. In spite of her efforts, Ha-neul was imprisoned.
In the last scene of the episode, Seok-ho and Ha-neul meet. Then, from episode 2, the story of Grin and Ha-neul will be connected with Seok-ho.
We expect splendid performances in this soap opera with talented stars like Ji-Sung, Hyeri, and Kang Min-hyuk.
“Entertainer” will broadcast every Wednesday to Thursday, 10:00 p.m. KST!
