Song Joong-ki caught the eye-of viewers with a fabulous performance in the first episode of “Descendants of the Sun” > TV-MOVIES

KBS2’s soap opera “Descendants of the Sun” debuted on February 24. Song Joong-ki got a lot of compliments from viewers in his role as the male lead, Yoo Shi-jin, who is the brave, well-educated captain of a special-forces unit.

He portrayed a fantastic mixture of calm and wild charisma when his unit faced enemies from North-Korea.

Moreover, he showed well-trained action scenes with a short sword and he performed manly fighting against several gangsters.​

Viewers should fine Song’s performance to their liking as he has the ability to combine action with emotion.

In this soap opera, Yoo Shi-jin becames fond of Kang Mo-yeon, the female lead played by Song Hye-kyo. Shi-jin asked Mo-yeon to go on a date with him just before he got on a helicopter to go Afghanistan. He wasn’t smooth in making his appeal to Mo-yeon, but it gave viewers a glimpse of him as a loving person.

The highly anticipated next episode of “Descendants of the Sun” will be broadcast tonight at 10:00 p.m. KST!
