“Cheese in the Trap” ended after 16 episodes on March 1 > TV-MOVIES

TvN's soap opera, "Cheese In The Trap" came to an end on March 1 with lots of popularity and frustration from viewers.​

In the current episodes, 15 and 16, there were many accidents in which mainly Hong Seol and Yoo Jung were shown feeling growing pains as real adults. 

​​​In the early part of episode 15, the Jung-Seol couple had a lovely plan to go traveling after Hong Seol finished her final exams. It seemed as though their relationship was going to be happier than ever.

But, later on, In-ha Baek who got mad at Yoo Jung, pushed Hong Seol to the road, so Hong Seol had an accident all of a sudden and she was severely injured.

Following that, episode 16 dealt with Yoo Jung’s leaving and Hong Seol’s mature mind.

Through Hong Seol’s accident, Yoo Jung truly realized his selfishness and his mean ways of interacting with other people.

As he felt sorry to Hong Seol, he eventually ended the relationship by saying “How long can you endure my personality? I really do know my problem with the way I treat people. So I will be back when I truly love you from the bottom of my heart.”

After that, Yoo Jung quit his job at Taerang group and left to study abroad.

Hong Seol’s routine 3 years later was sketched as finale of “Cheese in the Trap”. She has been working at the company that she wanted to work for. Now grown, Hong Seol knows that there are many people like Oh Yeong-gon, Son Min-soo, and Kim Sang-cheol who made life difficult for herself at the university.

One day, she looks back when she saw someone who looked like Yoo Jung. This showed she still missed Yoo Jung. At the end, the latest e-mail sent to Yoo Jung was read and that made opened-ended ending of “Cheese in the Trap”

For the last 2 months, while some viewers were delighted with romance soap opera others were also upset by the difference between the webtoon’s storyline and the soap opera’s. Currently, the demand that the shooting video be released by the viewers still remains unsolved by the producers.

Meanwhile, tvN’s next soap opera will be “Pied Piper of Hamelin” which is based on the German fairytale. Contrary to “Cheese in the Trap,” the network will publish the webtoon as the soap opera begins.
