In episode 2, the “Song-Song Couple” said good-bye to each other because of Shi-jin’s team was sent to Uruk.
In episode 3 Yoo Shi-jin (Song Joong-ki) and Kang Mo-yeon (Song Hye-kyo) reunited after eight months.
At the time, Kang Mo-yeon visited Uruk as the team leader of a group of medical service volunteers. She recognized Shi-jin at once as she boarded the military transport aircraft. The “Song-Song Couple” finally met again 8 months after saying good-bye.
Yoo Shi-jin made a small joke: “I am stepping on a mine” to Mo-yeon when she distributed snacks to Uruk’s children. She was really astonished to hear that but Shi-jin apologized for the joke and said “nice to see you, again” to her.
Yoo Shi-jin talked with Kang Mo-yeon in the nearby camp. At the beach, where Mo-yeon wanted to go, Shi-jin asked her in response to be his girlfriend. However, Mo-yeon rejected him by saying “I am not here just to volunteer in the medical service. I will go back soon to do my own thing.”
Not long after, Shi-jin and Mo-yeon were reunited. A high-ranking Uruk’s VIP officer was rushed to a military hospital with severe injuries. Korean military authorities did not give permission to operate on the VIP because of potential diplomatic issues even though it was an emergency. They were about to blame Mo-yeon’s medical team if there was a problem with the VIP’s health.
At that time, Shi-jin decided to ask Mo-yeon if she could keep the VIP officer alive. When she said she could, Shi-jin confronted the VIP’s guards who felt that only an Arabian surgeon could perform the surgery.
Episode 3 was filmed in beautiful Greece, where the gorgeous scenery became the backdrop as Shi-jin asked Mo-yeon to be his love.
