Actor Jang Geun Suk will finally return with SBS historical drama “Daebak” for the first time in eight years.
Historical drama “Daebak” features a bromance, gambling, action and love story featuring two male leads who stake their fate on a game in the Joseon dynasty.
In “Daebak”, Jang stars as Dae-gil who is a star crossed prince also a card shark. He plays cards with Yeong-Jo who is performed by Yeo Jin-Gu.
The teaser for “Daebak” showed the word: “A King’s son who does not have to live strives against his fate” which made viewers anticipate an interesting storyline.
Jang Geun Suk’s hot debut in a historical drama was as a child actor for “Ladies of the Palace” 15 years ago.
Following that he has performed well in historical drama such as “Hwang Jini” and “Hong Gil-dong”
In the “Hwang Jini”, especially, he performed as Eun-ho is Hwang Jini’s first love. At that time, many viewers were delighted with his pure and fascinating romance acting.
