Song Joong Ki and Kim Tae Ri's 'Space Sweepers' finally confirmed its premiere date.
The background of 'Space Sweepers' is set in the year of 2092. A crew of a junk collector spaceship called The Victory discovered a humanoid robot Dorothy, which is known to be a weapon used to cause mass destruction, and therefore get involved into dangerous situation.
Song Joong Ki acts as the pilot Tae Ho of The Victory, who drives the spaceship all over the space to search for garbage that can make money, and at the same time compete with with other junk collector spaceships. 'Space Sweepers' is Song Joong Ki first film in three years after 'The Battleship Island' in 2017.
The film is originally said to hit the theater back in Sep last year. Due to the continuous COVID-19 situation in Korea, the film will now simultaneously premiere in 190 countries via Netflix on February 5.
