[Exclusive] Dream Date Comes True: Joo Won fulfills 3 wishes at Singapore Meet-and-Greet > TV-MOVIES

10 October 2015, Singapore - Neither the hazy weather nor travelling distance could deter dedicated fans (international fans included) from turning up at Joo Won's first Meet-and-Greet in Singapore. The earliest fan began camping at the venue as early as 8am, nearly 12 hours before the start of the event! 

Organized by ONE, the event held at Suntec City North Atrium was open to public and drew a massive crowd of over 3000 people. The venue was packed to the brim and filled up all three levels surrounding the area. In Singapore to promote his latest drama Yong Pal (용팔이​/ The Gang Doctor), Joo Won was accompanied by his on-screen sister, the up-and-coming actress Park Hye Soo.

The pair of sibling stars first appeared at a press conference prior to the public event and shared many thoughts. They were later dressed in a more casual style and greeted fans during the promised Saturday 'date'.

Park Hye Soo made a solo entrance first and entranced the crowd with the song 'Remember Me Only' from The Gang Doctor's OST. The singer-turned-actress might be a rookie in the acting scene but her vocals were certainly impressive. Even though Joo Won was the main star of the night, Hye Soo received just as loud an applause from the audience. She responded with sweet smiles and made 'heart signs' to show her gratitude.

What's a meet-and-greet without close interaction and skinship with the stars? Despite his shyness and reserved nature, Joo Won was sporting enough to participate. He made 3 lucky fans swoon when he fulfilled their wishes (a hug, a selfie together, staring into each other's eyes) on stage. It certainly felt like a real loving date for these fans! A few minutes were also set aside for another group of chosen fans to receive autographs from both stars.

The hype did not die down even after the end of the event. The #DrJooWon hashtag was seen trending on the top of Twitter's list in Singapore for quite a while. His popularity (as well as the drama's) is clearly evident. And just maybe, fans can hope for the charming Joo Won to return to sunny Singapore soon?
