Across the Daehak-ro, you can see Naksan park in which you can enjoy beautiful sight of Seoul over the ramparts of Naksan mountain. After that, you will have time to shop in Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

Daehak means ‘University’ in Korean. 40 years ago, there were buildings of Seoul University. Since then people called the place Daehak street(Daehak-ro). After Seoul University relocate to Gwanak, Daehak-ro has become a place for arts and culture for young people. You can enjoy street performance in the Marronnier Park and appreciate artistic wall painting around Daehak-ro.

You can enjoy ecology, history and cultural assets while taking a walk along the ramparts of Naksan Mountain. The ramparts was built in 1395 and 600 years later, it became a famous walk trail for Koreans who want to take a rest and have inner peace. It has beautiful sights and fresh air so that you can experience eco-friendly and peaceful Seoul.

DDP is the world’s largest three-dimensional amorphous architectural structure. The DDP metonymically combines history and culture with the city, Seoul, society, and economy to create one landscape. It was designed by the acknowledged architect, Zaha Hadid.
