KPOP World Festival Portugal 2018 > K-POP

KPOP World Festival 2018 Portugal had place at Lisboa ao Vivo, July 1st, this year. 

The event started at 4pm with an introduction of messages by several KPOP groups wishing the best for the participants.

Being presented by Sílvia and Arthur, this year in Portuguese and English, the show started with Twice (Like Ooh Ahh) by Athena, followed by BTS (FAKE LOVE piano ver.) by Ângela, Momoland (BBoom Bboom) by Moonlight, Lee Hi (Breathe) by Kécia and Red Velvet (Bad Boy) by One4K. The first part finished with the solo performance of Matheus Paraizo with an acoustic cover of Lie from BTS, who won last year’s edition.​

A flashmob by the volunteers and mc’s marked a little break between the two parts of the event.

The second part of the show started with 2NE1 (Goodbye and Fire), a group performance by Nolza who also won last year’s edition, followed by Taeyang (Eyes, nose, lips) by Alexandra, Winner (Island) by Reset, Dean (Instagram) by Li and Matheus, Exid (Lady) by Eden, finishing with Blackpink (Whistle) from Jéssica Tavares.

The public was able to try a little bit of the Korean gastronomy

Woongsan

Woongsan it’s a well known jazz group over South Korea and Japan, for her visuals and her voice. Together with her group members, they cover ballads and other beats of musics, having won The Best Jazz Album and a Golden Disc. Having covered Mariza (a well knowned Portuguese artist), they gave a beautiful memory to the Portuguese public.​

After the amazing performance, it was time to reveal the results of the voting poll.

Eden (EXID - Lady) won the group performance while Kécia (Lee Hi – Breathe) won the solo performance and Jéssica Tavares (BlackPink – Whistle) won the public vote.​

The anual show, ended with a special thanks from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Portugal and, of course, the traditional photo with all the participants.​
