New girl group I.O.I will join in the KCON 2016 France > K-POP

New girl group I.O.I will go France to participate in KCON 2016. It will be I.O.I’s first official overseas performance.

KCON is held by CJ group. Also it is the biggest Hallyu festival in the world. Recently, KCON was spotlighted with an audience of 8,000 in Abu Dhabi in March, and with an audience of 33,000 in Japan in April.

I.O.I came into existence as a result of the choice of viewers of “Produce 101.” The goal was to choose 11 members out of 101 girl candidates to create a new girl group.

They will make their debut on May 4 with their mini album and performance. On May 5, they will hold a fan meeting and showcase.

Meanwhile, prior to making their debut, I.O.I will appear on JTBC’s variety show “Sugar Man,” and one of the members, Kim Se-jung will perform regularly in KBS’s new variety show “Eo-seo-op-SHOW” (meaning “Welcome” in Korean).
