INFINITE was in Los Angeles, California on January 10th, 2016 for their second world tour INFINITE EFFECT.
Performing at Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles for the second time since their last visit in 2013 for their first world tour One Great Step, the group reunited with their fans after more than two long years of wait. Just like the last world tour, INFINITE had a live band playing in the background to complement their live vocals.
Besides performing their hit tracks from "Before the Dawn" to "Bad", INFINITE also brought screams among the crowds as members split up into INFINITE H, INFINITE F, and solo acts Sunggyu and Woohyun. The group definitely also gave their fans a pleasant surprise as they appeared out of nowhere amongst the seated sections during their fanservice song "Cover Girl".
The members also introduced new songs that could potentially be included in their future albums. In particular, Hoya was revealed to be composing a new track, while Woohyun performed his self-composed, self-composed track "Everyday", teasing his upcoming solo album. The seven members also sang a yet-to-be-released track "For You", showcasing a special dance accompanied with individual mic stands. Hoya was also aware that fans were worried about the condition of his leg injury, and reassured fans that he was feeling much better after going for rehab exercise.
How did INFINITE fare in their English skills? Did they make some improvements since the last time they were here? Well, they tried. But the best English speaker of the team definitely goes to Dongwoo, who confidently added as many vocabulary words as he could in his sentences throughout the night. In fact, he made the statement "LA is like my house", whereby he also had the chance to catch up with friends during his free time in the city. Sunggyu was in awe with LA's warm weather and asked fans to visit Korea to experience the real cold weather (and to cheer on INFINITE). The other members were all cheesy, introducing themselves as "your romeo L", Sungjong who will "see you in your dreams", and "until we are back again, don't go anywhere", says Hoya. Sungyeol also caught the most attention with his bright-red hair color, which was freshly-dyed right before the concert (but he suggest fans never to dye their hair red because he was getting red stains all over his white shirts!)
Meanwhile, INFINITE just completed the world tour with two days of encore concert, INFINITE EFFECT ADVANCE, held in Seoul on February 20th and 21st.
