2017 may be coming to an end soon, but it's been quite the whirlwind of a year for arguably KPOP's biggest group currently, BTS. The seven-member group not only became the first KPOP group to win an award at the Billboard Music Awards, but has penetrated through the American market through social media without official promotions. And now, on the heels of their record-breaking mini-album 'Love Yourself 承 'Her'', which sold over 1 million copies and saw title track 'DNA' chart on the Billboard Social Top 50 and other Billboard charts, the members have found themselves invited to perform at the 2017 American Music Awards on November 19th.
This marks the group's official US debut performance, a dream that they had expressed during their acceptance speech during the BBMAs. It's quite a huge achievement for a group that hasn't targeted the Western music market specifically, focusing instead on growing organically through hard work and social media.
Congratulations to BTS! Make sure to tune in on November 19th, 2017 at 5PM Pacific Standard Time for the awards ceremony.
