KCON USA Presented by Toyota has revealed two boy groups as the second line-up for KCON 2017 LA: ASTRO and NCT 127!
Fantagio Music's boy group ASTRO debuted slightly more than a year ago in February 2016 but their popularity has hit the roof and they will be holding their first concert in Seoul for not just one, but two days, on July 15 and 16, 2017. The group is currently promoting on various music shows with their title track "Baby" from their fourth mini album Dream Part.01. The six members proved their international popularity after performing at KCON Mexico and so could be invited again to perform for KCON.
SM Entertainment's NCT 127 is just a little younger than ASTRO since they debuted in July 2016, but they are a strong contender in showing their rookie power. The group is slated for a comeback with their third mini album NCT #127 CHERRY BOMB on June 14, 2017, so North American fans can expect to witness the nine-member group to perform their new song on the American stage! NCT 127 will also be attending KCON 2017 NY and be performing on June 24, where fans in the east coast can perhaps catch a glimpse of the new performance first.
These two boy groups will join SF9 and Girl's Day, which were revealed last week as the first line-up for the three-day convention/concert held in Los Angeles. KCON 2017 LA will be held on August 18 to 20, while ticket sales start on July 7 at 10am PST.
KCON17 NY: Today's KCON Live Chat revealed that Jun Curry Ahn and Koreos UCLA, Youtubers who professionally do K-pop covers, will be making an appearance at KLUB KCON. Last year, SEVENTEEN, Amber, and DEAN made a surprise appearance at KLUB KCON, but the artist from the concert line-up this year has yet to be announced.
