Girl's Day and SF9 are heading to KCON LA 2017! > K-POP

Coming to the West Coast on August 18-20, 2017, is ​KCON 2017 LA​! Originally started as ​KCON USA​ in 2012 in the smaller Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, California, the beloved KPOP convention has ballooned and blossomed into a must-attend event for all Korean music and culture lovers alike. This year has seen KCON visit Mexico and Japan, with visits to New York and Los Angeles coming at later dates. Now, the news that fans in the LA area (and all over, really) have been waiting for: the first artists for ​KCON 2017 LA​ have been announced and they are none other than ​veteran girl group Girl's Day​ and ​rookie boy group ​SF9​!

Girl's Day makes its U.S. debut this August since debuting on the Korean scene in 2010. Made up for 4 members, the group has seen much success in music, acting, and variety shows. Their first hit came in the form of '​Expectation​' in 2013 and propelled them into the echelons of popular girl groups. This was cemented by ​'​Something​', which resulted in multiple covers by girl groups and boy groups alike. KCON 2017 LA marks the first time the quartet has been invited by KCON.

Meanwhile, SF9 is the first dance group created by ​FNC Entertainment​, home to boy bands ​FT Island ​and ​CNBLUE​ and girl group ​AOA​. The rookie boy group debuted last fall with '​Feeling Sensation​' and followed that up with '​Breaking Sensation​' earlier in the year. The 9 member group will make their first US and KCON appearance at ​KCON 2017 NY​ later this month.

Ticket sales for the LA concert will begin on July 7th at 10AM PST, with more information on ticketing to be revealed at a later date.
