BTS signs with Def Jam Recordings Japan > K-POP

BTS has signed with Def Jam Recordings Japan and will start promotional activities in the country soon.

Def Jam Recordings, owned by Universal Music Group, manages artists like Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea, Alesso, Ludacris, and many others.

Previously, BTS's activities in Japan were organized by Pony Records.  BigHit Entertainment still remains the managing company, where as Def Jam will be responsible for expanding the group's activities in Japan.

Def Jam Recording's Executive Vice President and General Manager Faisel Durrani reveals, "We are happy to have BTS as part of the Def Jam family. I am impressed by how they have attracted such a strong fan base and achieved such good records in a short period of time. I hope for even greater success to them in the future."

BTS will release the Japanese version of Blood Sweat & Tears on May 10th, their first work after signing with Def Jam.  Stay tuned!
