Pledis Entertainment's newest hit sensation, 13-member boy group SEVENTEEN, is set to embark on their first ever Asia Pacific Tour - 'Shining Diamonds 2016' this coming August. Organized by Three Angles Production, the tour is scheduled to kick off in Singapore (August 13), followed by stops in Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia.
Debuting in 2015 on a live showcase and being just fresh off the oven, the rookie group took many by surprise with their synchronized choreography and strong vocals. Their efforts through the years of pre-debut training certainly paid off. To tap on their fullest potential, the thirteen members are also put into 3 sub-unit groups: Vocal (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK & Seungkwan), Hip Hop (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu & Vernon) and Performance (The8, Hoshi, Jun & Dino). With such a wide and diverse range of talents and charms, it is no wonder that the group has been gaining a devoted fan base, also known as Carats (their official fanclub name).
Despite being a newly debuted group, Seventeen has already earned a series of accolades. The super rookie group has bagged the title of 'New Artist' and 'Rookie of the Year' at the Seoul Music Awards 2015 and Golden Disk Awards 2016 respectively. In addition, their first full-length album 'Love & Letter' released in April 2016, impressively out-sold their previous mini single and earned a place on the Billboard charts. Seventeen's global fame was evident during their first ever attendance in the recently concluded KCON New York 2016 festival, where they received a huge response during their performance.
Put your hands up and shout 'Mansae (hooray)' for Seventeen's daring venture to tour the Asia Pacific region and interact with their international fans! We certainly look forward to the upcoming 'Shining Diamonds' Tour and the incredible performances that Seventeen will be preparing.
