Kim Jae Joong makes official apology for his coronavirus April Fool's prank > K-POP

Singer Kim Jae Joong announced he was hospitalized for COVID-19 yesterday through personal SNS which shocked fans and netizens. The singer later on explained that it was a April Fool's prank which aimed to raise the awareness of self protection and made an official apology.

Though Kim Jae Joong further apologized for his act, internation media such as New York Times and BBC has reported the news and criticized for making fun on coronavirus.

Furthermore, Kim Jae Joong could possibly receive punishment from the Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention on spreading of false information.

The singer is currently at Japan for promotional activities.​
