BLACKPINK's absence from the KPOP music scene for almost a year left many fans yearning for more music, and when the group's long-awaited comeback finally surfaced and landed, the fans made sure to let the young quartet know of their love.
And boy have the fans made a statement as just 54 hours after the release of 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', the song has achieved a perfect all-kill status. This marks the first all-kill by a girl group in 2018, the second for BLACKPINK, and the third for YG just this year.
Looks like YG's strategy of "wait a long time to release new music, make fans deprived and hyped, then let them gobble it all up when released" has worked.
