Sandara Park, appointed as the Philippines-Korea Friendship Ambassador > K-POP

The 119th Philippine Independence Day and 22nd Migrant Workers Day was held earlier today (June 11) at Banpo Hangang Park Seoul, South Korea.

The event was named "Bayanihan sa Korea 2017" and one of their primary guest is Sandara Park of girl group, 2ne1. Sandara Park spent her childhood years in the Philippines and eventually became famous as an actress there before she started her career in Korea as part of a girl group.

One of the highlights of the event is the appointment of Sandara Park as the Philippines-Korea Friendship Ambassador. Sandara was chosen because of her consistent promotion of the Philippines as one of the beautiful places to visit through her various television guestings and shows.

During her speech, she said that Philippines is her second home and she keeps visiting the country in her free schedule especially the beautiful beaches of Boracay, Palawan, Bohol and Subic Zambales and the Filipino food and warmth of Filipinos themselves. She also added that she is well loved by the Filipinos and even if she's in the other countries, Filipinos recognize her and send their love to her and even her staffs are amazed by her popularity. 

Sandara Park commits herself to continue to promote the Philippines to her own country. She is indeed a Filipino not by blood but by heart.
