Sulli revealed to have passed away suddenly at her residence + Many events postponed or cancelled > K-POP

On Oct 14, Korea media reported that police received a death report of Sulli, causing a great shock to the whole Korea society. Later, the Seongnam police confirmed that they received a report by Sulli’s manager at around 3:20PM after discovering her unconscious at her residence at Seongnam.

According to the representative of the police, Sulli was already deceased prior to the arrival of the paramedics. Police did an on-site investigation at Sulli’s residence until late night, though no suicide note was found, it was reported that they discovered a note pad which filled with Sulli’s handwritten personal thoughts and feelings, which might help in finding out the cause of Sulli’s death.

Sulli’s agency SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding Sulli’s death, confirming the death of Sulli. SM also announced the arrangement of Sulli’s funeral, stating that the family who is shocked by the sudden news wants to hold the funeral privately. All the details of the funeral and the location would be kept secret. They continued, asking reporters to have a generous heart for their cooperation so that Sulli's last journey will be beautiful.

The whole industry is now in deep grief due to the news of Sulli’s death. Super Junior who was planned to have a comeback live talk show had cancelled the whole program. SuperM who was originally scheduled to have a pre-recording of special show ‘SuperM The Beginning’ has been suspended. Taeyeon who was scheduled for a comeback on Oct 22 had been postponed. Other teams who planned to upload comeback teasers, like NU’EST and MONSTA X, have also postponed their schedule. N.Flying who was scheduled to have a comeback showcase on Oct 15 has canceled the whole event.​ 

Some artists also expressed their gratitude through SNS. Actor Ahn Jae Hyun who is close to Sulli, expressed his shock through a heartbreaking post, denying the news of Sulli's death. Hara has also pay her tribute by uploading past photos with Sulli.
