CL is in discussion with YG on contract renewal (Updated!) > K-POP

On Nov 7, several Korea media reported that former 2NE1 leader CL will probably depart from YG Entertainment. YG replied to the enquiry of Korea media, saying that they are still discussing with CL about contract renewal.

CL debuted back in 2009 as leader of 2NE1. After the group’s disbandment in 2016, CL continued as solo artist and focused mainly in US market.

Fans are curious whether CL will stay in YG or leave and find new agency.​

YG just confirmed that CL will not be renewing her exclusive contract.

According to the official statement, YG and CL have come to agreement to terminate her exclusive contract under both side wishes. YG has payed their thankfulness who loved CL during these years and wished her for better development in the future.
