Crayon Pop members Geummi, Ellin, Choa and Soyul's contracts ended with Chrome Entertainment in March and Way's will soon follow in May.   News that the group disbanded and are looking for new companies arose yesterday (April 19th), but Chrome Ent. has denied that rumor.  They further announced, "Way's contract will end in early May. We need to discuss Crayon Pop's contracts and future activities and will make a decision in Mid-May."

Crayon Pop debuted in 2012 with their quirky choreography and stage outfits.  The 2013 track Bar Bar Bar became a national hit in Korea and won them a following of fans abroad.  In September 2016, they released their first album Evolution Pop Vol. 1 and started promotional activities with DooDoomChit.  However, in October Soyul halted activities due to anxiety attacks.  On February 12, Soyul married Moon Hee-joon of K-pop boyband H.O.T, so it makes one wonder if the marriage might have been the reason for her to halt activities as as a member of Crayon Pop.

It would be sad to this group disbanded as they were a refreshment to see among the many sexy K-Pop girl groups.  Let's hope it won't come to that.
