On Dec 6, BTS's members opened their individual Instagram accounts and gained millions of followers in an instance.

BTS's members have been using a joint group account to communicate with their fans since debut. This is the first time all members opened their own individual Instagram accounts to share their everyday life with fans.

Big Hit Music explained that the members opened up their own Instagram accounts to further express their personality and to communicate with their fans through different channels.

Meanwhile, Bit Hit Music also announced that BTS would be officially taking a break and therefore would not be attending any year-end ceremonies.​
