Lee Jung Jae who acted as Seong Gi-hun in 'Squid Game', shared his views about the global popularity of 'Squid Game' in an interview with New York Times.
'Squid Game' becomes a global megahit since its released, in which thousands of viewers try the dalgona challenge and even start learning Korean. At the same time, the show is being criticized of egregious violence and gaping plot holes.
Lee Jung Jae responded to the critics by suggesting viewers to re-watch the series to notice more elements in the show.
The actor also emphasized that 'Squid Game' is not really a show about survival game, but it's about people and remind viewers to re-think if they have ignored anyone who needs help.
Meanwhile, 'Squid Game' was seen by 111 million households after its release on Sep 17.
