2PM's Jun.K suffers fall from moving platform during concert, JYP updates fans on his condition > K-POP

It's always scary to hear when an idol falls from the stage or moving platform during a performance. That's what happened to ​2PM​'s ​Jun.K​ during his group's Day 3 concert, alarming, shocking, and even bringing tears to many fans who witnessed the accident firsthand.

The group had been performing '​Hands Up​' on two separate, moving platform stages  to an enthusiastic, energetic crowd. These platforms were manually pushed and joined together to allow the members to switch platforms so the remaining fans could see the rest of the members. Unfortunately, it appears that some of the staff did not properly account for Jun.K's movements and promptly separated the moving platforms, causing him to fall around 2-3 meters (72-108 ft).

Jun.K was rushed to the hospital to check on the extent of his injuries and according to multiple fanaccounts, the remaining 2PM members came out 40 minutes after the accident and profusely apologized for what happened. Meanwhile, the staff there announced that the rest of the concert would be cancelled and tickets would be refunded, leaving a depressing air hanging in the atmosphere.

​JYP​ released a statement, updating fans about Jun.K's condition: "Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. Following the accident, Jun.K left the concert area and was taken to a hospital to check the extent of his injuries and received a thorough examination. The examination showed that he fractured his right elbow and fourth finger on his right hand. He is still being monitored and will continue to receive medical attention while resting. We sincerely apologize to the audience, fans, and group members for failing to guarantee the group's safety. We will also continue to update fans regarding Jun.K's recovery."
