Big Bang’s T.O.P Says Last Farewells Before Army Service > K-POP

 Sigh.. The moment we all knew was going to come, but prayed would never arrive. It’s finally time for K-Pop idol group Big Bang’s T.O.P to complete his mandatory military service in South Korea. T.O.P. will depart to enlist in the service on February 9^th 2017, as confirmed by his record label YG Entertainment, and it seems like he’s having his last bit of Instagram fun before he leaves.

As his followers and fans know, T.O.P is notorious for posting insta-“spam” on his account – many fans even unfollowed him for it, claiming it was too annoying! His second-to-last day of freedom was no different. The star started by posting some pictures captioned “Goodbye Seoul” as he smokes on a rooftop. He then proceeded to post some pictures of his new military-style haircut. But his fans don’t seem to be too concerned. They have posted millions of adoring messages on the pictures already, and whilst they could be upset about him leaving, they’re taking the chance to have some light-hearted fun with him, teasing that his new haircut makes him look like Spock from the Star Trek movies!

And Big Bang fans need not be concerned, as G-Dragon is said to be currently working on a new solo album, whilst Daesung is launching his solo world tour. T.O.P also had a last farewell with his sister, as he received a bunch of flowers and a cake from her, topped off with a little army miniature figure of him.

However, we’re yet to see a farewell with his fellow bandmates. T.O.P posted a picture earlier this week saying that he’ll miss his brothers so much, he can’t bear to see them to say goodbye. G-Dragon commented insisting that they’ll facetime, and Taeyang begged “please meet us”! It seems G-Dragon got more than he wished for, as he posts a picture of him & T.O.P together at the hair salon. These past months leading up to T.O.P’s military service have showed us a whole new side to him: he’s much more emotional than his suited-up, rapper appearance had us to believe. G-Dragon even joked on their Infinity Challenge appearance last month that he’d never seen a man tear up so much. Infinity Challenge star and ZE:A member Hwang Kwanghee will also be joining T.O.P in the army this year. Take care, T.O.P – we love you, and we’ll be waiting for your return!
