Red Velvet's Joy and Lee Hyun Woo to take lead roles in tvN's 'The Liar and His Lover' > K-POP

​This spring, fans can expect ​Red Velvet​'s ​Joy​ to showcase a new side to herself as she will be acting alongside actor ​Lee Hyunwoo​ in ​tvN​'s newest drama, '​The Liar and His Lover​' (working title). 

This drama is based on the Japanese manga of the same title and will be produced by ​Kim Min Jin​, who has been involved in dramas such as ​Pride & Prejudice​, ​Sweet Life​, and ​Time Between Dog and Wolf​. Joy's character ​Yoon Soorim​ is said to be a courageous, outspoken high school girl who has no filter and speaks honestly. Her character falls in love at first sit with Lee Hyunwoo's character, ​Kang Hankyul​, who is a genius composer but does not know how to handle love.

​The drama is set to air sometime in March after ​Introverted Boss​ ends its run.
