Super Junior's Donghae Enlists in the Military Today > K-POP

Super Junior's Lee Donghae has bid fans farewell! Not only is today his birthday, but it is also the day he reports for his first day of military service. 

Some 500 fans have already gathered at the entrance point to the base camp. While Donghae had previously expressed his desire for a quiet entry, it was decided to let the fans meet with Donghae for a few words before he goes into the camp. It's reported that the media is being asked to stay away though, so Donghae can just spend a few extra moments with the fans alone.

Before reporting for his duty, Donghae enjoyed a bowl of seaweed soup for his birthday breakfast. He was also spotted with pals Chanyeol and Sehun of EXO, who appear to be seeing him off today.

After basic training, Donghae will be serving as a conscripted policeman. His total time in the military will be for 21 months.

Fellow member (and best friend) Eunhyuk enlisted on Tuesday of this week, with Donghae enlisting on Thursday. ​Choi Siwon will be enlisting in November, which means that the popular boy band will have five members actively serving in the military.
