JYP Entertainment's boy band DAY6 returned to Singapore on 10 December for the second time and pulled fans into a daydream that many wish would go on forever. Despite a tough start to the year, involving the departure of their keyboardist, DAY6 emerged as a 5-member group with an even stronger image and an added sense of humour. Appearing to be more at ease as compared to their maiden show last year, the members entertained and interacted with their fans during the 'DAYDREAM Fanmeeting in Singapore' held at Big Box.

Kicking off with the western-infused track 'Blood' from their second mini album, DAY6 then took fans back to their debut era with the more familiar track 'Like That Sun' from their first mini-album 'The Day'. Taking a break from their instruments, the members sat down for an interactive segment where they picked out post-its written by fans and answered questions. Leader Sungjin revealed that their debut title track 'Congratulations' took them the longest to create, roughly half a year due to constant lyric changes. "That's why a great song was released!" Sungjin added. And we definitely agree to that!

When asked about future plans for a comeback, Young K revealed that 2017 "is gonna be a great year". Since they will be "very busy next year", DAY6 asked for their fans to be patient and to keep a look out! We smell an upcoming 2017 comeback and certainly look forward to it!

DAY6 also fulfilled some fan requests which include Jae and Wonpil rapping to Young K's part, Sungjin dancing to labelmate TWICE's hit song 'TT', Wonpil hugging a birthday (fan) girl and Young K dancing while shooting finger hearts. The segment was a precious time as fans got closer to DAY6, especially so for Dowoon who is usually behind his drums at the far end.

The drummer, also the youngest, was asked to sing a song but hesitated saying "my voice is..." before Young K intercepted with "your voice is great". The support they had for one another indeed helps to hold the group together. Although Dowoon had difficulty hitting the high notes, the shy member took up the challenge sportingly and sang Standing Egg's ballad 'Little Star'. His deep voice no doubt melted many hearts in the audience!

As part of the usual fanmeeting process, lucky fans were chosen to go on stage to play a 'Guess The Song' game with the boys. The last-standing fan won herself the opportunity to take a group polaroid with DAY6.

The band continued to rock with 'Habits', 'I Hope', 'First Time' as well as title tracks 'Congratulations' and 'Letting Go' which brought the night's atmosphere to an all-time high. Fulfilling the demand for an encore, the quintet returned with an additional two songs 'Hunt' and 'Freely' as their fans rushed to the front of the stage to get closer to their idols.

After a 2-hour long showcase, DAY6 unfortunately had to bid their goodbyes and pop the daydream bubble. Sending their fans back to reality reflects the similarity to 'Letting Go', only this time it is not a break-up but simply a momentary separation as the quintet promised to return very soon.

CAT1 ticket-holders received a pleasant piece of news as they were informed that they would get both the hi-touch and group photo opportunity with DAY6, contrary to the original either-or arrangement. As their title track goes, 'Congratulations' for yet another successful show and we certainly look forward to an amazing comeback by this talented band.
