After much anticipation, the mystery K-Pop act to headline this year's Asian Television Awards in Singapore has been revealed to be no other than Amber Liu from popular girl group f(x)! Amber has also debuted as a solo artist in February 2015 with the title track 'Shake That Brass'. Her debut EP 'Beautiful' took second spot on Billboard World Albums Chart and received a hot response.

With the unveiling of Amber Liu, the final puzzle to the performance lineup of Asian Television Awards 2016 is now complete. Other confirmed performers include Charli XCX, JJ Lin, Rossa and Ivy Grace Paredes.

Additionally, the organisers of the Asian Television Awards (ATA) has announced that Mr. Ko Dae-young, the President and CEO of Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) will be the recipient of its Award for Outstanding Contribution to Asian Television. The award honors exceptional individuals who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments and contributions to the television industry.

This next piece of nomination news certainly comes as no surprise. The highly-raved KBS drama 'Descendants of the Sun' starring Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo has been nominated for the ‘Best Drama Series’ category. The drama follows the love story between a surgeon and a Special Forces officer, both elite in their fields, in a fictional war zone.
