The K-pop history of 2008 is known to have bridged the gap between the mid-2000s singers and the newer K-pop idols.

Rain was also locked into a battle of wits with American comedian and TV host, Stephen Colbert, a year ago in 2007. The Rainism star was came in 1st place in Time Magazine’s “most influential person of the year”, with Colbert coming in 2nd place.

Of course, Stephen Colbert would have none of that and let Rain win so easily. He produced his own K-pop song, “Singing in Korean”.
