Popular K-Pop girl group Dreamcatcher returned to Singapore on March 22 for their first ever South East Asia Tour, delivering fans their first full-fledged concert, "Invitation from Nightmare City in Singapore". Renowned for their high-energy performances coupled with fast-paced choreography with heavy metal beats, the 7-member girlgroup comprising of JiU, Yoohyeon, SuA, Dami, Siyeon, Handong and Gahyeon gave fans a breathless night to remember.
Kicking off the night with their hit single 'What', their fans, also known as InSomnias, certainly made themselves heard with their trademark fan chants while raising their fan boards and light sticks. Following with 'Sleep Walking' and their debut single 'Chase Me', Dreamcatcher greeted fans enthusiastically while the fans quickly made the girls feel at home with their relentless cheers and verbal support. Thanking the fans for their warm welcome and support, Dreamcatcher continued the night with popular hits 'Good Night and 'Daydream' before performing their latest single 'Piri' much everyone's delight.
Encouraging the seated fans to stand, which every fan easily obliged to, the atmosphere and temperature rose many notches as fans sang along to 'You & I' and 'Fly High', threatening to bring the roof down. Determined to show the girls how well-loved they are in Singapore, the fans also planned surprised fan support which included turning the venue into a sea of beautiful starry white lights and raising hand-held banners that said, "Thanks for coming to us from over the sky", a phrase adapted from the song "Over The Sky" which Dreamcatcher dedicated to their fans. InSomnias also sang an impromptu birthday song for Handong who broke into tears as she thanked the fans in Mandarin for their overwhelming support.
During their ending speech, Dreamcatcher thanked the fans for creating such a memorable night of fun and laughter that they will never forget. The girlgroup was clearly blown away by their fans, confessing that they felt rejuvenated and energised by the love and support. Promising to return to Singapore soon, Dreamcatcher took a group photo with the audience before bidding their goodbyes.
