BTS again creates new record as the first Asian singer chosen as IFPI's No. 1 Global Artist.
According to International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), BTS topped the latest 'Global Artist Chart 2020', not only be the first Asian artist entered Top 10 of the chart for three consecutive years.
The chart is ranked according to the worldwide performance in both digital and physical music formats during the year. Frances Moore, chief executive, IFPI, said: “BTS are a global phenomenon. They have had another outstanding year, releasing three albums, and continually finding creative and engaging ways to share their story with the world. They truly show the power that music has to bring joy and happiness to people the world over.
Meanwhile, BTS was nominated as 'Best Pop Duo/Group' in '2021 Grammy Awards'.
